Death of a good friend Nov. 2008 Franz Goritschnig died on the eve of his 70th birthday, on November 11 after a short illness. Goritschnig, a leading member of the Austrian team, was tournament director of the European Championships in Poertschach.
Too young to die Sept. 2008 Ezio Lipott tragically died after a heart attack on September 25 at his home, aged 65. The funeral was held at Barcola, on the Gulf of Trieste. more…

New President of AITJ Aug. 2007 By unanimous vote Bojan Budja (SLO) became the 4th President of the AITJ. Silvano Tauceri (ITA) stepped down after 12 years and becomes a Honorary President. more…
